Examples of Designers from Luxe Menswear Show

The new year means the start of the10 Years of Philadelphia Fashion Week fashion season, getting ready for the next few seasons.  From Pitti Uomo recently in Italy, to New York Fashion Week in February there are many must see shows and collections.  Dapper Lapel is pleased to announce we will be a part of the Philadelphia Fashion Week at the end of February.  Join us February 16th-22nd for all things fashion.

10 Years of Philadelphia Fashion

This year is a great milestone for Philadelphia Fashion Week.  For the 10th year, designers will be featured from all around the world and Philadelphia.  Visit the online galleries to see looks from previous years.  Evoluer House LogoEvent proceeds will benefit the Evoluer House for at risk teen girls in Philadelphia.

Luxe Men’s Show

Join Dapper Lapel on Thursday February 19th and watch nine designers show off their latest designs.  This show features Mosesking Menswear.  Also showing designs is LarrBrio; featuring stylish formalwear and vivid colors.  Clarenz Couture Collection known for their handmade suits, source fabrics from London and Italy to provide high quality garments.   D Leaks will also be in attendance showing off new designs.  Ashton Hall with a love for Italian design, will feature more great styles.  Closet By Cristobal and Unusual Styles by chey will also be featured.  Be on the look out for great silhouettes, bold prints and styles with these looks.  Native NY will be in attendance showing their take on menswear and streetwear inspired by New York.  Kholyns Couture will round out this list of designers.  They boast a combination of refreshing modern styles and quality.  Dapper Lapel will be creating special accessories for the designers to use with their looks.  Come out to see how to wear accessories and find some great fashion influence.Examples of Designers from Luxe Menswear Show

Ready To Wear Show

On Friday, February 20th, head on over to the Crane Arts Building for the Ready to Wear Show featuring 13 different designers.  This night, you will find pieces by Datari Austin who is currently based in the Los Angeles area.  Jaya Misra will also be in attendance, a well known Indian designer, showcasing unique and innovative designs.  Arriving from Baltimore, designer bdescai will be showing off designs from his new collections.  Ken Laurence will also be on the runway showing off his “classic silhouettes with a touch of modern aesthetic.”  This show also features the two Pennsylvanians who make up K.Nicole with designs for the every day working woman and more.  Local designer Ke’ Collection will also be featuring designs for the modern woman.   Both Las Swimwear and Mars & Venus will strut the runway to show off new designs and collections.  Carmelita Couture, who desires to “awaken the inner beauty of women” will be showcasing great styles as well.  You will see pieces designed by Anna Bella Don as well as Ian Alexander.  Thomas Lavone, hailing from New Jersey, will be showing off his talent for ready to wear designs as well.  Designs by Gregory Taylor of Walish Gooshe will hit the runway with full force.   This is definitely a show you do not want to miss.  There will be a wide range of exciting looks you’ll want to steal from the models.Examples from Ready Wear Show Designers

Couture Show

Finishing off the events open to the public will be the Couture show on Saturday February 21st, also at the Crane Arts Building in Philadelphia.  For this show, designers will be showing off everything they have and leaving nothing out.  Find another 12 great designers at this show from Rosehesan to English Clientele.  Bishme R. Cromartie will be showing off their couture designs, worn by  models and celebrities to other events.  Jacinta Ligon will also be bringing luxurious designs to the runway along with Lillie Designs.  From the Luxe Menswear night, Closet by Cristobal will be showing off their couture designs as well.  Philadelphia designer B-VainCouture will feature their couture pieces.  You will also be seeing Autumn Lin who designs dramatic sculptural pieces.  Ayasa Afi, who creates elegant and chic designs, will urge all to “find your inner celebrity” with her couture designs.  Kyle Young, Ann Luchade and Nevets Couture will round out the list of designers with their dramatic and elegant designs.  While these designs may not be ready to wear, they are museum quality works of art.  You’ll want to mark your calendar and get your tickets for this grand show.Example of Designers from Couture Show

Schedule of Events

Philadelphia Fashion Week BannerStarting things off on February 16th at 7pm is the Fashion on Ice Kick-off Party.  This skate-tacular event will be taking place at the recently renovated Dilworth Plaza at City Hall.

On February 17th, there will be a Trend Networking Event at 7pm.  The location is to be announced so keep checking back for more information.

There will be a Masquerade Ball on February 18th at 7pm, being held at a private location.  RSVP to this exclusive event featuring designer Von Alexandria.

Get ready to spend the night at the Ritz- Carlton on February 19th at 7pm for the Luxe Mens Show.

February 20th at 7pm hosts the Ready-To-Wear Show at the Crane Arts Building. VIP tickets are available.

Crane Arts also hosts the Couture Runway Show at 7pm on the 21st of February.  VIP tickets are available.

To close out the week is an invitation only Finale Runway Show on February 22nd.  This show features Michael Thomas and Cory Couture and is in partnership with the Philadelphia Flower Show.
